In which oatmeal becomes interesting

I have no idea what’s happening to my blog but this is another food post.

The other morning my dad and I had oatmeal. I asked for brown sugar (muscovado) to go with it but we didn’t have any. What we did have were the following:

  • Cereal
  • Raisins
  • Agave
  • This nutty, wafer-like chocolate of European origin, sold as a thin disc and cut like a pizza

We poured the ingredients over the oatmeal and crumbled the chocolate on top of everything else.

Nom nom nom.

Notes:
1. It’s a “Dad” recipe, so it comes from an expert on readymade food, i.e. discovering-what-we-have-in-the-cupboard-and-mashing-it-all-together-in-15-minutes-in-the-hopes-of-something-tasty.

2. Agave is a healthy and tasty alternative to sugar. It also works with pancakes! 🙂
